Points to Remember

“From Wilderness to Wholeness” – Sunday, February 7, 2021

At times in life, we may feel like we are wandering in the wilderness like Moses and the Twelve Tribes of Israel. They wandered for forty years! But we don’t have to wander that long. When we delve into the story we find not only a spiritual understanding of forty meaning “all the time it takes to change.” It took the twelve tribes which metaphysically represent our twelve spiritual powers or centers, forty years – because that’s how long it took for them to change. Change what? Change their minds and align their thoughts, ideas, words and dreams with God.

Charles Fillmore, Talks on Truth, page 96 said. “We want instantaneous healing of our diseases, but we are loath to sacrifice the mental habits that cause them. The mind of the flesh [ego] knows that its existence depends upon keeping the I AM [Christ] in its bonds, and it begs that the discord that its ignorance has produced in the body may be quickly eased without disturbing its dominion. Hence the cry goes up from all over the land, “Heal me! Heal me! as Jesus of Nazareth healed those who came to Him, but don’t ask me to change my ideas.”    

Changing or MOVING the Mind into alignment with Spirit begins moving or opening the heart. The heart is the seat of Divine Love, the harmonizing power of the universe. WANDERING, or in its human, limited-expression Love expresses as romantic, brotherly, or familial love. HARMONIZED, it opens to the flow of Divine Love and expresses only wholeness, forgives all things, and HARMONIZES the whole being, and each of our other twelve spiritual centers or senses.

FAITH: The sense of KNOWING beyond BELIEVING
WANDERING it believes in limitation, bondage to the outer world and circumstances,
HARMONIZED it knows the wholeness of God in all things. It is unwavering, expressing absolute trust in Spirit

IMAGINATION: The ability to envision, to dream and manifest
WANDERING runs rampant with errant thoughts. It Imagines the worst and sometimes manifests those fears and limiting ideas
HARMONIZED, Imagination manifests visions of wholeness & harmony

ZEAL: is our energizing vitality and excitement about life
WANDERING it tends to overextend and focuses on physical/worldly gratification. It is influenced by the why me, victim/victor consciousness or need for approval and it can lead to overwhelm and feelings of separation.
HARMONIZED, it is our ability to follow through with great enthusiasm and unrelenting passion and faith toward a DREAM that is balanced, whole, and aligned with God-Will

WILL: THE ABILITY MOVE toward a Goal with intention.
WANDERING – It is directed by ego, ruled by fear. It becomes willful & self-important and closes off to the Divine
HARMONIZED, it is aligned with God-WILL. The wholeness of God is expressed as WILLINGNESS to work together; to listen and hear; to DREAM without limitation, without sorrow or fear, and to move toward increased UNDERSTANDING.

UNDERSTANDING: The ability to comprehend; make sense
WANDERING WE SEEK ONLY TO BE UNDERSTOOD, and our spiritual understanding is undermined by the “Why Me” or “If only” consciousness
HARMONIZED as St. Francis of Assis said, we “…seek more to UNDERSTAND than to be Understood, and we begin to understand a greater power at work in our lives and in the world.

POWER OF THE WORD: Our voice and the ability to communicate
WANDERING we may speak words of hopelessness, distrust, anger and even hatred. We give power to these undesirable feelings.
HARMONIZED, we speak words of love. Our word becomes a healing balm, a voice in the wilderness calling all into a state of wholeness and manifesting accordingly.

WISDOM: Our ability to discern and hear the voice of Spirit
WANDERING, we allow the ego to use its memory tapes and its need for survival and approval to weaken the voice of wisdom and hamper the inflow of divine ideas.
HARMONIZED, Wisdom flows easily with divine ideas grounded in the wholeness of God, in the knowing of One Power, One Presence, One Activity God the good. It makes clear our path, shows us the way, reveals connection and harmony.

ORDER: ability to arrange or sequence objects or events
WANDERING everything can seem out of order, our physical senses tend to see only chaos
HARMONIZED, the wandering and the illusion of chaos ends. And a greater Divine ORDER is revealed.

RELEASE & LIFE: Our ability to let go and step more fully into the Life God intends for us
WANDERING we  resist letting go of limiting thoughts and ideas and unconsciously eliminate feelings of security and wholeness. LIFE becomes burdensome and focused only on the physical expression.
HARMONIZED, we eliminate fearful thoughts, limiting ideas, scarcity, otherness, and any thought that separates us from God or from one another. And then LIFE encompasses not only the physical, but the spiritual and the All-ness

STRENGHTH: Spans the entire spine. It is our power over the appearance of lack and separation.   
WANDERING it forces its will and power on others, believes only in its own survival.
HARMONIZED, the infinite strength of Spirit flows through the entire being, balancing all of one’s energy centers

AFFIRMATION – AFFIRMATIVE PRAYER/MEDITATION – not beseeching but affirming, God, thank you God for harmony, for wholeness, for abundance, for blessings, for order, for love. Repeating affirmations of love & wholeness; I AM Love, I am Wholeness, I am One with Spirit, I am that I am.

ADJUSTMENT – ADJUST your thoughts to wholeness & your attitude to gratitude which opens the flow of Divine Love. Move from sensing the world with only your 5 physical senses to knowing through your 12 harmonized spiritual senses

ACTION – direct the power of zeal toward wholeness, be impeccable with your word, listen with your heart, commit to new ways of being, acting and loving.
