Leadership

The leaders of Spiritual Life Center are Revs. Ron Scott and Lenore Scott.  Pastoral care is provided by appointment. Feel free to reach out to us!

Rev. Ron Scott

After graduating with an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ron pursued a career in business for a number of years. Thereafter, his faith led him to respond to a call to enter Unity School of Christianity.

Upon graduation, Ron and his wife, Lenore, were guided to Austin, Texas where they pioneered Unity Church of the Hills. The ministry began in 1995 with thirty persons attending Sunday services and grew into a thriving spiritual community of over six hundred with many classes, workshops, and other activities during the week.

They returned to Michigan in 2007 when Ron joined the Ministerial Team of Renaissance Unity. In 2010 he and Lenore were guided to pioneer a new Church, “Spiritual Life Center – A Unity Message of Hope”  in Troy. This has been an exciting time in ministry – and it is showing in the marvelous energy and life changes for the persons involved in the Church.

“My life has been transformed by spiritual principles,” says Ron, “and I want to share this with every person who seeks the same.”

In addition to family that he and Lenore share, Ron has a special love for Twelve Steps, friends, reading,  running, the waterfront, music, and movies.

Rev. Ron Scott is the author of, Making Life Work for You: A Jesus Approach.

Rev. Lenore Scott

Upon graduation from Unity School of Christianity, Lenore Scott joined her husband, Ron, to pioneer and develop Unity Church of the Hills in Austin, Texas. The Church became a thriving spiritual community of about 600 adults and youngsters on an average Sunday with many classes, workshops and other activities during the week.

Lenore has been dedicated to the process of personal and spiritual growth for the past 35 years. During this time she was actively involved at Church of Today, presently Renaissance Unity, in Warren, Michigan where she served as a teacher, speaker and staff member.

Lenore’s skills of working with people developed further during her seven years on the staff of the Pavilion, a treatment and recovery center then located north of Montreal. Earlier in her career, Lenore worked for a training program in the city of Detroit assisting economically-disadvantaged persons to find employment.

“Spiritual principles and their application have transformed my life – there is no greater joy than to see God come alive in people and watch their lives change,” says Lenore.

Home and family, children and grandchildren, friends, reading, music, old movies and the beauty of nature all bring special pleasure to her days.
